so.. went to do a little service the other day, raised my car with a jack, and noticed a pipe thing hanging beside my wheel... had a look and realised it wasnt a hose, about 1cm thick pole (pretty sure its really really hard rubber) has broken and was just hanging beside my wheel (inside obviously), it has a joint in it.. so i bent it and pointed it in towards my car.. surprisingly as scary as it sounds i can drive with no issues? gonna get it checked out as soon as i have the time, any ideas what it could be? will try get a pic when i have time during the day

Its your warp drive, just means you wont be able to jump into hyperspace anymore till you get it fixed.
Bummer dude.

Hope it's not the drop links, dunno about the the hard rubber construction. I could be wrong. No knocking on the ride comfort?

well i dont believe it was metal, was really stiff felt more like hard rubber not metal oO, and the only sound i ever get while turning, is my wheels scuffing the guard/arch things (17s =.=) so basically saying, if i didnt see it myself, i would not have noticed any difference, and still dont

Safe to get it checked out for piece of mind.
Have a mate in the Wingham area. When you see a thrashed white Daihatsu charade panel bashing, chances are it's him

I bet its your swaybar (which isnt rubber). Its about 1.5 cm thick and is about the only thing that can break without drastically effecting your handling.

That happened to me a couple of years ago. It will affect your handling a bit.

Not lubricating the swaybar bushes is a far more common problem...
