Ugh Freaking out.

So i drove to parramatta to visit my girlfriend today and my car just randomly lost a f**k tonne of power.....first gear doesn't feel the same and it only really starts to kick in at the mivec point but until it gets to the mivec point it is piss weak.
What's the bad news guys?
Why just before Christmas!
Thanks for all the help in advance.

Sounds like you've lost a few cylinders there mate

How does it idle and run otherwise?
Lost cylinders does make sense but it would idle very poorly and the exhaust would sound weird too.

Well it does feel like i've lost some cylinders!
Or something.
It doesn't sound as good now and still idles and runs fine other than the power loss.
What do i do? What price am i looking at? :/
What needs replacing or servicing. Will give lots of beer for help getting fixxed!

Does it stutter?
Or miss the more throttle you give it?
Check that you are not losing spark (you can see arking at night time)
Also, take your coils off and check that it is clean in there. Your tube o-rings may have leaked oil onto the spark plugs

It doesn't stutter but when i put my foot flat it's like wtf...why isn't it torquey anymore.. so yeah missing a lot of throttle. There is a major line between first gear non-mivec and the mivec point now. Where before it was not as noticable but you could tell it was there if you know what i mean.
I'll do those checks.
Anything else by what i have said?

It could be a hole number of things.
Considering it isn't stuttering I would be inclined to say it isn't anything with your spark plugs. Maybe fuel pump?
Does the engine line come up?
In reality the best thing you can do is take it to a good mechanic. Unless this is some common fault it is too hard to accurately diagnose over the internet

Does it sound like a rotary + black smoke from the exhaust?
That happened to my mate ollie's fto, and it turned out to be one of those little vacuum hoses not connected to the plenum after we replaced the rocker cover gaskets...

As I said on FB, check error codes first.
Sounds a bit odd, but check your air intake... almost sounds like the pod or pipe has fallen off, or there is something been sucked into it.

No black smoke and no engine light coming on.
I'll take a case to bennoz and see if he can diagnose for me. Or has he still got a case we left at his Cameron?

haha
I hope it's not too major.
If it is i will rego my other FTO and set this up in the garage and troubleshoot it aswell as manual convert it.
So far i have
-check vacuum hose connected to plenum
-fuel pump
-spark plug check
-coils clean
Is anyone free today? I knock off work as there is no work atm and can drive anywhere in sydney.
Thanks.

Lol dont say that man! When i was a kid i remember a cat was sleeping somewhere in the engine bay of our car, and when my dad started it, i heard the this grinding sound and the cat fell, and its head was partly crushed =O It might have slept in the radiator fan area or had its head in the pulleys area!! True story!
But do check your ram pipe!!
