Does anybody know about the NSW laws on neon? Supposedly you cant have red or blue neon, and if you do have another colour then the tube itself must not be visible outside the car (e.g. tube must be hidden underneath). Anyone?

AUSTRALIAN ROAD RULES
219 Lights not to be used to dazzle other road users
A driver must not use, or allow to be used, any light fitted to or in the driver’s vehicle to dazzle, or in a way that is likely to dazzle, another road user.
As defined at
http://www.legislation.nsw.gov.au/summa ... "&nohits=y
Modification rules, especially for P platers in NSW are so unclear

After some more research it seems that blue and or red cannot be attached to the front, however underglows are allowed while the vehicle is not moving, however you guys say otherwise. We need clear laws!

No, it's not clear. Hence why police officers can use their own discretion as to whether or not, you are currently distracting and/or dazzling other drivers. You can put them on, and they should be legal, however switching them on may cause you to be fined as per the law. It's done on a case by case basis which means the safest option is just to not put them on at all.

Ok here is my 5 cents....
I have blue neons with an isolate switch under my car.
I've been fined once for them. Let off 3 times and they can't defect you because it has an isolate switch.
Point of the fact they are illegal in NSW but the fine is about 80 bucks.
No points taken off.
I constantly risk getting another fine, but only when it's worth it.
Hey sexy lady
Nuff said.
Any lights other than your front and rear lights are illegal. So not even white lights inbetween your front and rear wheel is acceptable iaw with Police book 22-1 part 3 paragraph 9123.
Kthanksbai.

Having isolate switch = no defect.

Just like 'secret agent laser obstacle lunch' - you really dont want to meet the chicks that are willing
Out of curiosity what % of those chicks actually DO think they are...whatever they think they are and do they actually put out because of the neons or the car?
