You may need an inlet manifold gasket if your one is damaged, although this is unlikely its good to have one on hand so your car isnt off the road while sourcing it.

If for an unlikely reason the metal gasket breaks its overnight from Mitsubishi for $25 bucks.

I don't think the gasket should be an issue seeing as it's metal.
You may want to use something like RTV sealant though to avoid any air leaks

Yeah I never bother with a new gasket, it's a thick gasket and I can't see it breaking.

just take off all the washers before lifting the manifold off, that way none of them fall into the engine :? .

My facelift plenum/manifold doesn't have the studs on the ends which was a surprise and just has bolts instead.
I found it easier for removal but harder for refitting.

Yeah they woke up to themselves for facelift onwards, all bolts. Same on 6A13.

Fixed washers too so less chance of losing one.

Think its to help with lining up the manifold.
