FTO AUSTRALIA

As i am relatively new to the FTO and all its bits and pieces im wondering if there is anyone in sydney who would be willing to help me with a few little things.

main things i need help with are

- Aligning front bar / headlights
- Removing/Repairing (pretty much beyond repair) the stereo/shifter surround without completely shattering it -->
- to access air con motor and solve clicking gear.
- remove intake manifold to polish / change spark plugs.
- fix window rattle / squeaky door.

This probably seems like child's play for most of you guys but i just want to make sure i get it right the first time + learn some more about the car.

I am located in the blue mountains but am happy to travel for help

Most FTOs have that problem, easiest to replace

depending on where the clicking is coming from, i might be able to help. Check if the clicking is coming from the left side behind the glove box. If yes i can help you.
prob lube up your door as well if you plan to come

The rattle in your door will be window guides. Initially they get loose and eventually, the plastic bit falls out of the middle of them. If they are just loose, you can bend them a little closer together where they attach to the window rail on the front corner of the glass or you can replace them. New ones are around $15 each from Mitsubishi.

As to the stereo surround, there is no glue known to man that will fix them and plastic welding doesnt work really well either. Ive also tried fibreglassing and that isnt completely successful. Unfortunately there is too much oil in the plastic and nothing sticks to it well. 2nd hand ones are britle and likely to break if you arent extremely careful with them (ive broken 3). I can get new ones (which arent brittle), but they arent cheap. Having said that, this is the option I would advise.

Yep, I do actually. Its good to know there is something that will work, because your standard glues do not.
