Hello. The door locking motor on the passenger side is broken. I have to lock the door manually. Is it an easy fix? Can I just go to a normal mechanic (or electrician?) and they can replace it cheaply? Or is it so easy I could fix it myself? I can do basic stuff like replacing car stereos.

Mine used to do the same thing and it seemed to fix itself after a while.

Check for dust in and around the motor, apparently that can stop it closing fully - if it cant lock fully then it will go back to unlocked. Does it close partly then re-open or does it simply not close at all? Check wiring, make sure everything is connected properly.

If not, might have to replace the motor. They get weak over time, apparently.

If you are talking about the central locking motor, they are cheap as and because you already have central locking it should be as easy as taking door skin off unplugging old motor and putting new one in i think I've got a spare motor aswell

Has it always worked?
Have you just bought the car?

If no to the 1st and yes to the second, then it could simply be unplugged, perhaps removed on purpose, or not connected properly.
Worth taking off the interior trim panel first and inspect as mentioned above.

Use an after market lock solenoid. Easy fix.
