okay, so as most of you know my fto got flooded and is all kinds of f*@ked up, so is the rest of my car inside

all water and everything
so im stripping and cleaning it etc etc, only problem is the surface rust :/
anyway, ive managed to get some money together and it seems cheaper and more productive to buy a new engine than a new car,
so all places that deal with mivec fto engines, and possibly a gearbox, im doing call arounds tomorrow and then ordering the best one, so if you have any suggestions of somewhere, it would be greatly apreciated,
cheers

Have you thought about looking for a half cut? It would give you new ECU + plenty of other parts.
Just a thought, good luck with your search

i am gutted

but, worse things have happened to me, so, eh, its a minor detail that i CAN and WILL fix,
the water was only a couple inches on the passengers floor, and the boot, but after weeks of wet carpet etc cause due to conditions i couldnt get straight into it, so it sat and the bit of water in the floor etc turned to humidity and put surface rust on a few things,
aswell as made it smell like sh*t hahaha

Idea.....I have had a flooded car.....many years ago........I cleaned out the car but I didn't take off the door trims, the boot trims or the rear passenger trims........after 12 months the doors, rear passenger wall cavities and the cavities either side of the spare wheel all rusted through to make my car very rusted and full of holes.........when I finally looked in these spaces I found that they were full of dirt and sediment which held the moisture.
Moral........take off the stated trims and clean out the cavities
If you have already done this, then this is a waste of a story

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA when I tried to claim my flooded car with GIO (never GIO again) they sent out an investigator and tried to say that the tow truck driver (he towed me out of the flood) and myself were in kahoots together to defraud GIO, just because 15 years earlier we went to the same primary school, he was just the towie in the phone book. Never got a payout.

Where did you get your half cut?
How much did you have to pay?
