How to remove alarm?

Hey all,
As some may know, my alarm remote has died, leaving my car stranded...
I don't have a spare, or the override code. AA came and had a look today, and said they would come again before lunch today.
So far nothing, If they don't come before I get home, I'm planning on just ripping the whole damn thing out...
Any one know the best way to do this?
Just cut the wires, find the immobilisers and remove them, then join the wires back together?
Solder, or connectors?
the alarm is a Mongoose M60.
Dual immobiliser...

Fairly sure if you just cut it then it will have a backup battery and will be going off for hours. Might want to make sure mate haha.

I wouldn't be having this problem if it had a backup battery

A few weeks ago I knew it was dying, so I turned off the automatic immobiliser, a few days ago, we removed the battery terminal, and because it doesn't have a backup, it reset itself, and re-enabled it

Mongoose M60 is the alarm, and I know for certain it has them, as the car isn't starting

Find ypur computer and unplug all the wires and try that before you start cutting

There is no plug for it, the unit has the harness attached internally, even the AA guy couldn't open it, due to the stupid recessed security screws
Mine is the same as that, minus the glass break sensor, and older remote.

Just cut the black wire that will fix it

Pulling wires and cutting wont fix it. Pull an owners manual there is usually an over ride by using your key and the code is on your module usually.
Or you can find the ignition\pump harness and see where the alarm installer cut the wires to reroute to your alarm. Join these up and you can ditch the alarm.

I've been going through the wiring for the last hour, I have found where it joins to the ignition, it seems that there are 2 cables cut, so i'm wondering if they have just used both immobilisers on the ignition.
I'm going to cut them now, and join the original wiring back up, and see if it even just turns over.

Rejoined both of the ignition wires, by-passing the immobilisers, and it now starts

I didn't solder them together as I was just testing, So when I have some free time (Wednesday) I will re-assemble everything, and completely remove the whole alarm system.

Good work! I expect to see a slab in the mail!
You will need to also insulate each cut wire as this will play havoc on your electrics.

1k??
They're not that expensive! Plus you've got one already wired in, be a case of snip old & connect new! I did mine that way & took me about an hour.
