So its official as of today, now officially a member of BAM Garage, as an apprentice mechanic.
Judging off my current knowledge and rate of learning (dont ask how they got this in 1 day? lmao) i am the equivelant to a year and a half already completed - and should get the apprenticeship on paper done in just over 2.5 years!
Starting out on $14 an hour, which is excellent for a first year as it only goes up - 50+ hours a week (7-5mon-thu, 7-230 fri and the occasional saturday if they open at all)
So stoked - just down the road, the whole team is friendly and awesome, garage has 8 hoists, a diesel fitter/mechanic car detailer and tyre fitting station and does everything under the sun so ill learn EVERYTHING. They had me changing tyres on the rims, changed ignition leads, tappet cover gasket and spark plugs on a couple of vans, and some dickhead filled his VW 4x4 with unleaded (diesel car) so that cost him 1300 as we had to replace everything up to and including injectors, and he lost the 80 litres of fuel he paid for (as a last middle finger)
They have won numerous awards for their work and are well respected within brisbane, should be heaps of fun over the next few years.

Yep - really is, nice people, perfect amount of people/work load there and they do everything - i was revalving/rubber(ing?) tyres and balancing them so i know how to do all that hands down - best thing is im not a floor sweeper for the first year - they tell me by week 4 im on my own with my own hoist servicing cars n sh*t so yea - and cheers guys!

Yea about that - but hey its going to become a routine so ill naturally go to bed at around 11 and wake up at around 6, eventually i wont need an alarm clock

One only becomes Bennoz with a Lawso. I wouldn't have got the mechanical experience any other way
