Ok people, i've just got my tappet done, & now the car is so quiet :D

For those in Victoria, you can get it done at the same place, drive in & drive out service for $250 (GPX) I think he normally charged $300.

SL Motorsport

1/39 Osborne Ave Springvale 3171

(03) 9548 5837 (Ask for Lee)

I think some of you already got few different things done to your FTO there, so I'm sure you guys would agree he does a good job.

Hmmmmm good question, i think someone posted that it should be done every 40,000k (I believe is eric MADDY) But i think most people just get it done when they hear the noise.

I won't give u the long story, so heres my very very short answer heehehe

Sounds like noisy tapping engine, especially when its warm/hot, it will restore the lost performance, & it can be done on all GPX model, cause its perform on stock lifter/tappet.

I see SL Motorsport being used and recommended by a number of people, all with positive feedback, so it begs the question as to whether they have been approached by the club for sponsorship / discounts.

We need to find someone like UAS for us in VIC and it seems that SL Motorsport could be the place.

Just had a chat with Northern Mitsubishi in Preston/Melbourne to get a quote for adjusting my GPX's tappets.

He said to me that he believes FTO's doesnt have tappets, they have hydrolic lifters.

What is this? is this a big joke?

A wise man once said "the questions you ask tell us more about you than the questions you answer".

GR has self-adjusting hydraulic tappets, the GPX has manually adjustable ones.
