Will be original bonnet modified with fiberglass and vented. With all the thousands spent on this twin turbo fto a little more aint going to break the bank.

I think ill stick with my original plan to have a original steel one modified ,as the ones from carmate are carbon or fiberglass which is ilegal in qld for road use. So I was quoted $180 for steel original bonet , $300 materials ,$400 labour $300 postage from new zealand. Where from you ask , from a guy on oz vr4 (vr4 wagon) he does a bit of exporting parts and he does a bit of carbon and fiberglassing stuff.

Out of curiousity, and maybe I missed it on the website. But are the AB bonnets fibreglass? I'd assume so but need it confirmed

They have fibreglass and "carbon fibre" versions. But the carbon fibre one is just fibreglass with a carbon fibre layer on top. So they weigh the same.

Such a shame, the carbon ones look awesome!

I guess the option is there to get a mould of one and buy a carbon fibre kit and make your own fully carbon fibre one if someone had the cash to spend

Are carbon bonnets legal if you get them engineered?

Anything is legal if it's engineered.
