Altenator Help

OK, so since the car is only holding 12v at the moment, and when the lights get put on, the volts drop slightly, and there seems to be a bit of noise coming from engine/alternator area.

This is on the new car, so the belt has been replaced, and so too has the pulley.. So even though the old pulley seemed to have a bearing problem, I am starting to think the alternator is gone..

So being the GPX, I know it is the 4 pin... Have seen on eaby a couple of alternators, that are reasonably priced. Anyone heard of this mob, or can confirm which one I need?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mitsubishi-C ... 1e6af14911

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mitsubishi-C ... 1e762ab6ca

Or for a little more, just get a new one, but it doesn't specify part number... And considers an FTO to be a 2.5l

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BRAND-NEW-AL ... 19caa90133

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MITSUBISHI-F ... 4ab0e632cd

Anyone got any idea's ...

The guy confirmed the new one is a 4-Pin, but he is not sure if it fits the FTO ... Do you have the Mitsubishi part number that is specific to our car...?

Hmm .. $395 locally ... From an Auto Elec that I know down the road...

So I may just get it from him ... He looked it up after taking my details, and confirmed his one is 4 pin, fits HG Galant as well, and reconfirmed it is 6A12 ... So I guess he would know his sh*t...

Hopefully I will get the chance to run a DMM test on it tonight, and see how we go...

Well good news..

Started car, put DMM to the battery and 14v.. Looked at the volt metre in the car, and it still says 12v.. So looks like the stock volt metre has gone.. Not the alternator..

$350 back in the car kitty.. :)

Ive got a stock voltometer gauge in the garage if that will help - or will it be the wiring itself not found on the gauge?

Yeah, the clock hands are slightly out as well ... So when it is 3 o'clock, the small hand pointing to the 3 is in the position of a bout 1/4 to ...
