Obviously not..Astron_Boy wrote:Pull a lawso did you?
I've already talked to dstocks and he's got nothing available atm.Bennoz wrote:pm dstocks mate, he's bound to have one.JohanGPX wrote:Does anyone know if lancer/mirage/magna brakes will fit?

Lawso doesnt use his brakes
Whats this? Someone actually knows I also stock quite a few parts myself!?Astron_Boy wrote:What about Taz?
Just give sahin a couple of beers to undo itTaz wrote:Whats this? Someone actually knows I also stock quite a few parts myself!?Astron_Boy wrote:What about Taz?
He already msg'ed me, unfortunately i have a set, but theyre still stuck on Maverick until i have the time and money to buy a welder to get the locknuts off
Fine, get a four pack of cruisers thenTaz wrote:
a) Sahin doesnt drink beer
b) its not a case of strength to get it off, the locknuts are fucked, as well as being the softest metal ive ever seen. A specialist reverse tapered emergency locknut remover was useless and did nothing on it![]()
Only real option left is to weld a socket on there - got the spare socket, just waiting for an ALDI special welder

The piston seal was completely shot, as well as the piston boot. I managed to get the snapped off bolt out, sanded the rust off the piston and now I just have to go down to auto spares for replacementsAstron_Boy wrote:What about Taz?
What's the actual issue with the caliper?
Jammed handbrake lever, piston seal stuffed...?
Daniel2019 wrote:Obviously not..Astron_Boy wrote:Pull a lawso did you?
Lawso doesnt use his brakesdoesn't use his brakes now as it cost him a rotor, caliper and set of pads last time.
Just a long, thick breaker bar should be plenty for themAstron_Boy wrote:Is this leading to the OP getting his caliper, or do you 2 want a room with a lock nut set?
Again, ill state its not a matter of simply hulking it off. The metal is too soft and the "locking" part of it is simply a few small semi circle ridges, to which nothing can grip. I have tried a specialist removal tool and all it did was shear off a nice spiral piece of metal off the locknut...Daniel2019 wrote:Just a long, thick breaker bar should be plenty for themAstron_Boy wrote:Is this leading to the OP getting his caliper, or do you 2 want a room with a lock nut set?
I think he meant putting the breaker bar somewhere near your butt?Taz wrote:Again, ill state its not a matter of simply hulking it off. Ill gladly bet anyone $100 they cannot simply remove them without resorting to something like welding a socket on...any takers?
Hey, if that's what you're into...Sahin wrote:I think he meant putting the breaker bar somewhere near your butt?Taz wrote:Again, ill state its not a matter of simply hulking it off.
