Error 24 - Vehicle speed sensor

Hi guys,
My mechanice had used the Mut 2 and got the above error code.
My symptoms are: once the car is started, it dies off immediately.
There is no problems with cranking, battery is new.
Temporary remedy is to restart and depress the accelator immediately to raise the revs.
This occurs once in a while, not always. No probs with daily driving, just weird starting occasionally.
We resetted the error using the Mut 2, but it has since re-occured.
Whats the best remedy?
Thanks!
Sam

who has this mut2?
Maybe this might pick up why my mivec isn't working?
Any ideas?
If so do you think I might be able to have my car connected to this and test it?
Thank you,

Hi, thanks all, I'll continue to monitor the situation before setting out to buy the sensor. Any part numbers thou? i cant search 'output speed sensor' in the Caps program.
How did the Mut 2 work? err...it just plugs something under the dash...not bery sure thou...my mechanic did it for me...plug n play...

Hey wildfaye,
where are you from?
How much did it cost for checking with the mut2?
Thanks,

I am in Singapore. My garage does it for me free.
