Looking for a FTO driver seat

Looking for a FTO driver seat. as mine, the sponge is peeling off.

if u r talking about the bit by the driver's door, then most seats have started doing that now (just age unfortunately). You can just pad it out if the seat cover is still good, there's a DIY on the forum for it.
Otherwise, where are you located? Dstocks should have some, that's who we all go to for spare parts, he's in NSW/ACT. If you are in Brisbane, I should have a spare (not sure what condition, been a while since I shelf-ed it), Taz might as well.

im in VIC guys. Yup, mine some bits of pieces come off in the middle of the seat. so if i cant get a replacement may consider cover seats to just conceal the damage.

OK,
Here are 2 drivers seats I have. I may have another (would have to look further). Both have wear on the material of the lower left of the upright parts of the seat (circled bit). On the 2nd pic its not as bad (no hole). Both also have the standard collapsing outer bolster on the bottom -same as most FTO seats these days.The material on the lower portion of each seat isnt work too bad though. I did a guide a couple of weeks ago showing howto repair a collapsing seat bolster that would help you. Oh and both are a bit dusty, so would look better with a clean.

Thanks Dstocks. Ill double check my seat condition again when its back from the workshop. I think its similar to the first picture where its peeling in the middle right side. Just doesn't look nice haha.
Just wandering if u know where slight engine tappet noises will damage the engine in the long run? I cant re-adjust them can I? Only option is to change them? Ive got a quote a very expensive. And the mechanic said hydraulic lifts are non-adjustable.

Just wandering if u know where slight engine tappet noises will damage the engine in the long run? I cant re-adjust them can I? Only option is to change them? Ive got a quote a very expensive. And the mechanic said hydraulic lifts are non-adjustable.
Tappet noise wont damage the engine. Is annoying though. What are you being quoted?

If it is a MIVEC engine the tappets can be adjusted. If it is the non MIVEC engine they cannot be adjusted and need to be replaced.

if it doesn't damage the engine than im ok with it. Quoted 2.5k by mitsubishi to get them replaced. According to them they cant be adjusted and only replaced. Ok good to know it wont damage the engine, as all the mechanics i have called said they will harm the engine.

Ours aren't that bad, but then again the bonnet has been insulated, so it can't be heard as much.
Also, thicker oil.

If you like I can get a price on the parts for you from Japan. Will be a LOT cheaper than that. This is assuming you have a GR. If you have a GPX, you wont need new ones,they just need to be adjusted. Either way, a lot cheaper than what youve been quoted. Best piece of advice I can give is dont go to Mitsubishi Australia for work or parts for the FTO. Because its an import, they charge through the roof (including for labor). If you go direct to Japan, much cheaper. As far as installation, you are better off finding a local mechanic you can trust.
