replacoing old waterpump in service?

hey guys since fto is getting old itt needs to have waterpump replaced.
In UAS major service thing in the website
they said u need to pay extra 550AU + labor to replace a waterpump
does it actually cost this much????
is it a big hassle to remove the waterpump?

to replace the water pump you need to remove the timing belt as the timing belt runs the water pump

i think mine got a bit weak recently

AC has to come completely off...
engine has to be unbolted on that side ...
its a real bitch of a thing to get out...
and yeah they really cost that much

Guys the water pump they are talking about here actually pumps water and coolant around your motor and the radiator. But come to think of it I don't know what pumps the water up to the windsheild squirters, I thought that maybe there was just a little pump in the bottle of washer fluid themselves. I wouldn't think that much pressure would be required for that.

the waterpump for your washers is located on the underside of the washer bottle... if they are going they should be easy enough to replace... i doubt they are unique to the FTO...

A lot of the time it is actually the nozzles that are blocked and it isn't the pump in the bottle.

You can also use the needle to adjust where it sprays
