FS - The Smurf (NSW)

Hey guys,

My Mivec GR project is coming to completion so it's time to move the smurf on. As far as I know, the car came from Cassf88 in Victoria and after a run in with a key and some brake fluid (i.e. the paint is buggered) it was brought up to Sydney by rock_it and eventually ended up in my hands.

Please note that the car will need a respray and roof rust repair, hence the low price. Right now her fans aren't kicking in so she's down the road with my mechanic getting fixed, but that will be sorted in the next day or so. Result: not actually overheating - fans kicking in at 98deg and off at 92deg, is a wiring issue giving bad reading to temp gauge. So definitely no damage done to engine. Have receipt and document to support.

Car has been documented since rock_it took ownership, see here - http://ftoaustralia.com/v3/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=27326

The good -

1995 GPX
Sunroof (needs to be replaced, small clips have been broken but I will include replacement sunroof with sale (they're expensive!) and can help install if need be
Stock rims - tyres have plenty of tread (they aren't the best though)
Front (adjustable) and rear cusco strut braces
Front and rear adjustable cusco coilovers - hard but better than most coilovers and are also adjustable
Either custom or stock intake pipe (can include both)
Ganador side mirrors
White face dials
Stainless steel surrounds
Standard seats
Adjustable creative rear wing
Facelift bar with all factory optional plastic guards and lining (plus mud flaps)
Weatherstrips
Fusion fronts and tweeters with Response rear speakers + JVC head unit
GReddy Trust exhaust
Headlights have been polished by Professor Aza himself
Carbon wrapped bonnet (will include replacement bonnet and boot with the sale)
Clear indicators
Aftermarket Momo steering wheel + boss kit
New alternator and accessory belts and pulleys
New stereo surround and floor console
Samco radiator + power steering hoses

The bad -

Needs a respray and roof rust repair. Can't see in photos but almost all panels have key scratch marks on them and driver's side fender + bonnet has missing paint.
Tacho not working (although I do have a brand new ignition failure sensor to be installed or included in sale to hopefully solve this issue)
Sunroof not working (Expensive replacement included in sale)
Squeeky steering rack mounts (New ones included in sale)
Automatic

**Note that the ARC intake, carbon slam panel and red FTO rear bar insert will not be included with the sale, they are all going on my project car**

Engine sounds great, no tappet noise and has plenty of power for an auto. Has only done around 155,XXX km.

Car is a 1995 (facelifted) and has NSW Rego until 11/2/2014 (4 months).

To be completely honest I have contemplated parting it out because there are so many goodies that could be easily sold or transferred onto my track car (i.e. coilovers) but it would just be too much of a shame to pull apart a car like this. Price is negotiable and if you want it cheap I can take a few bits and pieces off to even out the price.

Asking $3,500 as is, with everything listed to be included (excluding ARC intake, rear panel insert and slam panel as mentioned)

Happy to send moar pics, just SMS me on 0423 707 472. Feel free to contact me for any moar info. Could stand around all day and talk about the car if you really want to

Putting the rear insert on the GR I take it.
I've received no SMS to believe otherwise.

GLWS.
If FTO came in aero top and this was one I'd take it.

Correct. Don't worry mate you're first in line for it should it ever come up for sale.

You could always just let the roof rust continue for a few years... then you'd have an aero top  :troll:

Car is for sale up on gumtree now.. If anyone is interested then get in quick (would rather sell it within the club) and I doubt it will last very long at this price..

She's all prepped for sale with stock intake and engine degrease. Going for a wash tomorrow before the buyer gets around during the day and she will be good to go.

Gonna be really sad to see her go, but it's time :(

Inspection coming any minute now...

Replaced the gauge's temp sensor but haven't had a chance to see if it fixed it, am trying to make sure the engine is as cold as possible for the buyer...

Fingers crossed.

Shes all vacuumed and ready to go.

:(

If the buyer is like me, spending $3500.
They'll make sure it gets up to temp.

Haha, yeah. Temp gauge does move up (I tested to see if it worked) but I didnt let it run to halfway, it was still warm from before so I turned it on and it went up about 1/8th and stayed there...

Didn't check to see if it got above half, like I said trying to let the buyer see a cold start.
