Hi Guys

1. Are factory HID ballasts came with later model FTO's any better or similar to Philips in performance, durability and warm-up (to full brightness) wise?
2. Also are the factory ballasts 35W?
3. Will a set of headlights with HID fit straight in to pre-facelift model?

Cheers
Prageeth

9006/HB4 HID kits will be a direct fit, but you will have to secure the ballasts in the engine bay somewhere. Cable ties are your friends.

A good HID kit is around $200 or more with a fast start, like the kits that www.hidlighting.com.au is selling.
Are the factory HIDs starting to get to full brightness in a couple of seconds?

I bought a 40 buck kit 5 years ago? Still working. I don't notice much of a delay with brightness though? How long does a hid take to warm up?

up to maybe 5 seconds?

You can sometimes get lucky when buying cheap HIDs and get a good set, I went with the Motimoto 5Fives and they've been great so far.
