As you can see from the photos the jacking point on the passenger side is completely fucked and it makes it almost impossible to jack the car up from there. Where do I jack up the car from instead?

Get a real jack (hydraulic) and jack from the tow hook.

I have a hydraulic jack but much prefer to use stands.

Then make a chock that will fit around that seam. I use a piece of 4 x 2 hard wood with a slot cut through the centre of it. Some people use rubber blocks.

That sounds like a good plan, ill try cut some wood at uni!

Might be able to get something cheap off ebay as well

Or jack it up from the crossmember.
