u should get the widest u can fit without rubbing the tyres to the guard..
so I would suggest getting 215 / 45 / 16 or 225 / 45 /16

Check out this page (half way down):

215x45R16 looks like the winner though.

would a 205/50/r16 tyre fit fine, or not that good for rims that were size 16 x 7.5 inch?

205 / 50 / 16 will fit but I dont think a good set up for 16x7.5 wheels. Wider wheels obviously need wider tyres.
215 / 45 / 16 is far most the best option so far without compromise

ohh ok hehehe thanks for the help

ohh btw wats the disadvantage of having 205/50 tyres for that rims size, bcoz i dont wanna fork out another couple hundred bucks for tyres since i just recently got new 205/50 tyres..

as i said...nothing s wrong with it...u can still use 205 / 50 but it'll look funny coz your rims will stick out in which im sure wudnt want coz if u lets say hit a gutter/curve then your precious rims is fcuked more that u can ever imagine. Personally I would prefer tyres which is a little wider than the rims this will also help improve traction a little bit

And wider tyres looks so much better than skinnier ones

ive fitted 215 at the front
235 at the rears
with 17x 7.5 rims
these sizes are fine but they will rub if the car is lowered too much

If you get the right offset (not your PCD 114x5) for the size of wheel you want, then your tyres shouldn't be rubbing.
