I think i'm against the whole pearl thing in my honest opinion. But meh... each to their own. If I had to pick, would be the red, as orange it very bright...

I'm quite liking the look lately of a really bold orange (but not like F&F style) with white wheels. Sure to be a standout - if that's what you're after.

under 2k, i dont think thats possible i payed nearly 2k just to spray half my car its original colour, cause it was going to cost 3k to spray the whole car a different colour.

it is very possible to respray the car same color for 2k

dude sorry to say but the "under 2k" that im gonna pay, includes all door ringes and things likt that, and no... the paint is not going to fade any crack after a week or two.

the respray that im gettung, includes everything except the engine bay, like, the door ringes, the "pearl", hes even going to sand the car down to base metal.
so yea... why its so cheap is because you would see this as a back yard job.
my mate that is spraying my car, hes done a few cars that have entered in the auto salon.

OK, so it's "mates rates". Well this makes a bit more sense as there's no way you'd be able to get it done for that price normally.

No need to go into any further detail as respray prices have been covered quite a few times on this forum.

So much for keeping this a secret

When I had my car resprayed by my friend (a backyarder too) he took it to a shop to get it baked.

As for colour, the orange is better because it is unique on an FTO, just like my paint colour

James i havent seen your car but you've dropped so many hints i just figured you'd had it done!! Light blue i take it???

So if I understand this properly, the car is being sprayed at one place and then baked at another?

If this is the case, don't you risk having the paint run and also getting dust and dirt in it as it is transported from one place to another? Dust and dirt and other contanimants can easily stuff up a paint job. 8O

Take a picture of passion red FTOs with a flash or with bright light and they turn out orange!  :P

Red Monaros change to orange too, you just have to wait a year or so and the colour fades :P
