hello all,

im only new to this forum as i have just purchased my fto.. and i really love it to death.. except for the stereo. i would love it but i cant work out how to even tune in the radio! the stereo is a sony from japan and it didnt come with any books. Now i rang sony and they told me the only manual they have is in japanese. Unfortunatly.. i cant speak let alone read japanese :(

the stereo is a 1999 sony md + cd player, model number wx c66md.
does anyone at all *fingers cross* have this stereo and an english manual? or knows how to use it? any help would be great! im totally lost with it!

Get sony to send you a electronic version of it, and run a transalator program over it.

Just an idea...

or touch up on your japanese reading skills!

Hmm, another idea would to get the instructions of a very similar unit and have a look through them! Otherwise maybe a large audio shop that sell lot's of sony products would probably give you a quick walkthrough of how to use it!

My two cents

yeah i think i will have to ring sony again, however the guy who i spoke to wasn't all that help full.
thats a good idea to see if they have the manual in electronic form and then translate it. thanks :)

yeah the stereo has been fitted with a band expander, which.. i found out last night. luckily the guy whom i bought the car off works opposite my office, so i can hassle him. However, he doesnt know to work the stereo properly either :?

otherwise if all else fails i will go to a stereo shop and see if theres anyone that can help me *hopeful look*
