Hi there,

I'm trying to find someone who uses or has used Redline Racing ATF in their auto/tiptronic.

I currently use the Redline Hightemp ATF but am looking to sharpen up the shifts in my R34.

A friend told me the you FTO owners were the knowledgable ones in this regard as most Skyline people drive manuals and just bag out auto drivers.

I was so close to getting an FTO a couple of years ago but got the turbo itch. What kind times do you do around Wakefield Park?

Anyway info on this would be greatly appreciated and if you've used something else that might be relevant let me know.

Cheers,

AboBob.

Yeah I know John. He was the 'friend'

I was after information more along the lines of the feel of it and which exact one you are using to get that feel.

I already understand the technical side of it.

Sorry I wasn't more clear.

i've been using redline oils now for a while...

it's put up happily with overheating gearboxes on the race track ...

it's more than happy to let me redline the fto in downshifts...

no knocking in the gearbox...

can't remember which ATF one i use but its $30 / litre and just ask john for whatever goes in Stephen's FTO :)

best stuff i've ever used

Thanks mate. I'll speak to him.

I've got a turbo upgrade going in soon so I need to make sure the transmission can handle 250+ rwkw.

that's as much about the gearbox as it is about the lub....

supra boxes can go upto that amount in auto form so i don't see why a gtst box won't... especially if it has always been looked after (or at least as long as it was in australia)
