I assume this kit is just a fuel pressure regulator in "fansy marketing". It doesn't do sh*t, unless you done major modification like CAM, extractor, full exhaust system, CAI....etc. As all it does is increase fuel, which make your engine run rich if your car is stock.

hmmm. i had emailed online performance for a quote on rpw extractors and the guy from there mentioned this in his reply. lemme quote "We don't have Dyno sheets but you will get anywhere between 5-25kw at the wheels depending on other mods. It is a good idea to fit and FSE Power Valve kit with it as it also makes a big difference. These are the only headers available for that model and if you check on the FTO forums you will see that everyone who has fitted them is very happy."
he claims the extractors from rpw hes got is a "hybrid" of their race/street design. nothing of a hybrid is mentioned on the rpw website. was just curious what a "fse power valve kit" really did.

Agreed FTO338

Here's a product hock about them none-the-less:

"The Power Boost Valve is an adjustable fuel pressure regulator kit, designed for use on Electronic Fuel Injection Engines with a special fuel enrichment facility for acceleration, commonly known as ‘Rising Fuel Rate’. The enrichment rate or Air:Fuel Ratio is 1:1.7. These kits are supplied in kit form to fit specific applications. FSE PBV are a revolutionary designed product that is the first and only to supply specifically designed fittings that replace the original equipment. Correct installation of Fuel Pressure Regulators provide greater performance results through correct operation of the unit and voids various safety issues associated with faulty installations.

Specifications:
Fuel Pressure Regulator (Malpassi 1:1.7)
Specific fitting to replace the Factory Regulator
Fuel Pressure Gauge
All required hoses and fixing items
Instructions included.

Benefits are:
Suitable for standard and tuned vehicles
Quicker Throttle Response
Faster Acceleration
Throttle Hesitation Eliminated
Normal Idle Retained
Normal Economy on Light Throttle"

And for one to suit your FTO, your looking at $360 big ones to buy the product alone - then ya gotta get it fitted. Unless you've got some mods, it aint the best bang for buck....

Shue, have you got GR or GPX, because you don't need an adjustable FPR if you got GR.

I assume you spoke to David from RPW as well? Ask him to send you some photo of this Hybrid version, or maybe ask him to explain the different.

The FSE kit is a malpassi regulator with a 1:1.7 ratio.

They chuck in a pressure guage, some hose and a fuel rail adaptor to make up the kit.

They are simple to fit - probably take about 30 minutes for someone with the right tools.

If you need more fuel, they are a quick fix...
