Which Air Intake is best?

Hey guys,
Just wanting people's opinions on which air intake/filter is best?!?! I remember reading a comparison on increase in power but can't for the life of me remember where I saw it. I'm looking for a compromise between power and noise but all opinions are welcome!
Cheers,
Ben

get yourself a custom intake pipe (stainless steel) and wack a K&N pod filter on it.
it will be drawring hot air (but its not too bad) and will cost you around $200 for a nice system!

I was thinking of a ARC intake pipe and a blitz SUS filter. What u reckon?

ive got the complete ARC Setup. IT needs some tinkering in regard to getting cold air to the airbox...

What sort of tinkering? I saw your setup in the recent SPEED mag, looks nice!
How much did it set u back and who did you order it through?

it needs tinkering in regard to getting cold air into the intake box.
I emailed ARC (through perfect run) and queried the design, but its definately right. The intake for the airbox is facing away from the front of the car. its hard to explain without seeing it.
price: wasnt cheap... looking a bit under a $1k delivered.

The ARC setup already has an air filter, so there is no need for the Blitz filter, I have the blits in a UAS / custom made setup, and the phssss sound it makes is really nice.... and loud!

I was thinking of purchasing the ARC intake chamber by itself without the filter. How loud would you say it is over the stock intake with a N1 cat-back exhaust?
Geez, $1K is a bit out of my price range me thinks, but definately looks worth it. Hmmm.... might have to crack open that piggy bank!

there is 2 parts to the complete ARC setup.
the most common part is the ARC Induction Chamber (which replaces the standard black rubber intake).
the other part is the ARC airbox itself. and this replaces your standard airbox and filter.
you cant use say a blitz filter inside the ARC airbox - theres no point really, all you would be doing is creating dual filtration, and probably less efficient air delivery.

Yeah thought not, i was just gonna get the induction chamber and stick a different filter on the end of it. I noticed perfect run sold them separately, plus i saw the same setup on mitsubishi-fto.org and it looked sweet!
