Spark Plug Socket?

Hey all, just wanted to pull my spark plugs out to check how they are going, but my spark plug tool doesn't fit in the hole!!! Is there a special tool i need or sumthing becuase i notice on top of the engine there is a sticker that has some Japanese writing on it and a picture of a some special tool being used on a spark plug. Any ideas??

Yes there is a special tool that comes with the car. Check in your little tool bag that maybe in with the spare tire. If not you maybe able to modify a socket to fit or buy something suitable from a store.

hmmm was talking to my mechanic today, & just happen we were talking about this special tool, which he made himself, i ask him on how to make one.

I have got a plug tool that fits Holden 2.0l 16v engines, which has the same size plugs as the FTO. The problem I had was that the outside diameter of the tool was bigger than the hole in the FTO head - I guess that's the same problem you have.
I used a bench grinding wheel to reduce the outside diameter a bit at a time until it fitted down the hole in the head. You need to be careful not to do so much that the tool becomes weak and breaks off. That would be bad!
Or you could just buy the proper tool........
