Hey guys,

I can't get my dual length runner thing to work.

When the car was hooked up to one of those diagnostic tools they could make the worm drive spin, but once it's hooked off it doesn't work.

I took it off and revved the car past 4500rpm in neutral and the worm drive doesn't spin.
I put it in as well in every possible angle and still doesn't work.

What can be wrong??? ie where do I start to fix it?

HELP ME!!!

So a diagnostic tool drives it okay, but the engine ECU doesn't?

Track it back through the wiring loom to the ECU, then. Perhaps faulty wiring, perhaps dodgy ECU...

The ECU has been changed as well to another FTO ECU to test it and that didn't work either.
I considered the fact that under no load it may not work but I also disconnected the whole unit (physically unbolted it from the manifold) and the car goes exactly the same.

Does anyone know what signal drives that motor? ie rpm signal, vacuum signal??

so it definitely doesnt work when you go for a drive and you reach about 4,000 - 4,500 rpm?

Yes definately doesn't do anything.
At this stage the motor isn't even plugged in and it's exactly the same as always performance wise

I found someone who should be able to fix it. Still curious as to what it could be
