FTO AUSTRALIA

ive come into some problems with my FTO and im gettin it fixed through insurance now the car needs a few things but one part that they say the will not use a second hand part is the cross member this part is now on back order from JAPAN as apparently no one has this part in Mitsubishi Australia, they have also said that these parts would become avalible in JAPAN "around" December thats like 2 months away!
Can anyone find or assist me in locating a NEW cross member and a NEW control arm for a Mitusbishi FTO 94' GR tiptronic????

In closing id like to say that just beware who you insure your car with as this particular insurance company seems to be making things up as they go along and its not a small company im sure most ppl have heard of it!

Just tell them it will be cheaper for them if they just get a used one *rolleyes*

The cross member you speak of - the member that has the 2 engine mounts on it?? runs from the front of the chassis to the rear of the engine?

isnt that the centre member bennoz? my understanding is that the crossmember is the big chunk of metal that sits at the bottom of the car between the two front wheel suspension assemblies.... the rear of the centre-member attaches to the cross member where the rear engine mount is...

you should be able to get a lower control arm from camskill but i dont know how long itll take to get here

Could well be right Simon... that aint gonna be an easy one to get new
