Cause the air con compressor is belt driven and self lubricating

or youve run out of co2 and the cold air that gets blown in while moving is wind and when your just sitting there youre pumping in the air that isnt moving
like bennoz said (yet-a-bloody-gen!) its self lubricating so if theres no co2 in it, the seals will dry up, best to get it filled asap
ypou can check by looking through the glass of your co2 tank, if theres no bubble, no air! should be located on the passenger side of the engine bay just beside the firewall,
and if u look through the glass and go "gee i dont really know if theres a bubble or not i cant really see it" then theres no air as the bubble sticks out like big godenzolas! if theres lots of little bubbles then yorco2 tank is about to run out.

Mate! I think you have a problem with your aircon. Have a look behind your radiator and see if both fans move cos my friend has this problem a while back and they found out that one of this fans stopped. This caused the compressor to heat up and the auto-electrican said if the fan wasn't replaced, the whole compressor might blow causing $3K worth of damage. A new fan was like $300 I think.
Might be worth getting an auto-electrican to check it out.

well mine is worst then u guys, condensor leak which quote from mitsu $900 just that ..... labour ..... hmm ...... still thinkin should i fix it yet or if anyone have any info on condensor pm me please

They have taken care of me for all my air con needs for years. Im booked in next week for a re-gas. They did a 12A to R134 conversion for me on my old CB lancer only charged me $430... (thats the old environmentally bad air-con gas to new gas conversion)
$900 condensor leak?? Thats robbery - unless its a gold plated replacment condenser.

The golden rule with air con is if it ain't working properly, turn it off. The longer you run a broken air con, the more damage you generally do. Get it checked out by a professional, if it's expensive, get a second opinion.

Damn, we're down on a long break, most garages r not open cos most mechanics r malaysian n have gone back for holidays. Gotta wait till next week until i can get it checked.

Got it fixed. Its the cooling coil thats busted.
Old cars like ours do not have a filter to prevent dirt from being filtered to the coil. It has got 7yrs of dirt n grime dats stuck in it, preventing air from flowing smoothly.
Costed me SGD250 including labour n toping up of R134a gas.
Will post a pic up later.
