Anyone using it at the moment? I really want to get one so anyone know where i can get one or which model i need to fit on FTO?

what's your main purpose for getting an odyssey battery?

I have asked the same question on the UK FTOOC, I'm looking at getting one of these too.

i was using a small odysey battery.
only 175 cca. still did the trick cost me $200 though

sorry just wondering why a smaller battery is required? i understood in my silvia I had to get a smaller battery as I had to make way for aftermarket intercooler plumbing, but I don't understand the reason for fitting a smaller battery in an FTO.

Also, as an alternative if you're looking for a small sized batt, I used the Exide Evolution (330CCA) and it cost me under $100. Pretty small battery as well.

smaller battery cause it won't fit for bigger size? lol
but you have to understand that odyssey battery are dry cell battery which pumps out HEAPS of power for ALL your needs for your car ...

I purchased an Optima (Yellow Top) upon recommendation that the Odyssey batteries have a few issues and a large return rate.

Perfect size for the standard spot in the FTO engine bay and can be moved to the boot at a later date as it is sealed.

Just don't ask me about cost yet..............

I have a red top optima, its a great battery, but its huge! I'm trying to lose weight out of the car and this is one area where I can save a foew kgs!

ahew hahahaha if u saw my engine bay making room for the cooler pipes was the least of my worries.
it was actuall from battery world of all places.
not sure where else u can get them from.
worked great. i didnt use it for about 6 months and still kicked over the car first go

fntsy, yeah i saw a few pics of your bay with the turbo install.. pretty tight squeeze there for any battery... or pin..

akuma3, go for the odyssey if you're looking for a small but powerful battery and have the $$$... but as brezza said there have been a few reliability issues with them.

however if you're just looking for a more powerful battery, why not actually use up the size of the battery tray and get a larger more powerful batt from a less expensive brand? does the same job and for less dosh.

just unsure what you're actually looking to get out of it that's all.

I've had an Odyssey battery in my car since I got it nearly 3 years ago and it's never been quite right and they claim there is nothing wrong with it. It's pretty much fine if I drive everyday but leave it for a few days and it's flat. At first they told me it was the car so I took it out for 4 days and put it back in and flat. Still they claim there is nothing wrong with it. I'll never buy one again and will never recommend one either.

I'm using one. ES 12V 800. Cost was about $300.

Was part of an induction system project... ie. get the battery out of the throttle body intake path. Info here...

I've had it about 18 months. The only flat battery I've had was when my little 'un switched my lights on while playing in the car, and didn't have the good grace to switch them off again once she was finished.

my battery is reasonablely large already, just need a more powerful one especially when my sub pumps ... at the moment even the indicator light makes the voltage needle drags ... it's not funny ...

what's a good battery suggestion then? where can i get optima battery in sydney?

Indicator light making battery gauge dip? Check... mine still does that. Always has. Not really a reason to buy a $300 battery! Plus it won't "fix" it. In reality, there's nothing "broken" anyway.

If the sub amp is a really meaty one, do you have a decent car audio capacitor installed?

well you guys suggest that but my amp don't even pump enough power out for the need for a capacitor ... hard to explain, i just ...... forget it
