Playstation 2 installation in a FTO...

Where are the best mounting positions? (Other than the conventional glovebox install)

Has anyone had the PS2 dismantled for installation?

How much room is there 'behind' the dashboard if someone was to 'hypothetically' install motorised equipment in the dash?

for a start id go down to DSE and buy a car to AC adapter (usually has 4 plugs too so u can plug other stuff into it... just hide it behind the dash... my mate has a new slimline ps2 mounted upside down on his roof and runs the cables under the roof lining

8O Wow!!! That's cool! Hmm... But I'd prefer to use the standard PS2 sliding out disc tray...

(1) It's easy to install somewhere tight...

(2) I like pressing buttons and having things pop out/up!

(3) I have a Slimline PS2, but it's for myself & I have the old PS2 sitting around doing bugger all! Plus I have a couple of flat screen monitors currently on dust collecting duties & I'm trying to figure out how I can stick one into the FTO for the PS2!

Either Run with a relitively new PS2 or got the slimline as the laser's tend to go after a while, especially on a car with hard suspension!

save buying an inverter..

and whats wrong with the conventional glove box install? i Swear mitsubishi designed the glove box for a PS2.

Fits like a glove ...in a glovebox..

installing in the glove box looks nice, and is out of the way, its so easy to install, you drill a whole in the back of the glovebox (inside)
and feed the leads through, then stick the ps2 inside the glove box.

I love the idea of a PS2 in the car but that D.I.Y seems a little whack and hard to do.. Maybe just for me.
