Overheating...

I have just found out what was causing my radiator hose to collapse. I thought it might be worth creating a new post for this as it is potentially a nasty problem if not caught early, particularly with Summer coming on
The pipe in the overflow bottle was blocked (SOLID). Couldnt suck anything through the pipe. This is a really bad thing as it will cause the car to overheat (QUICKLY). As the radiator cant suck water from the overflow bottle, it seems to cause a vacuum in the pipe between the radiator and the filler cap. This will stop (or severly curtail) the flow of water through the engine. Additionally, it will put a lot of load on the water pump.
Only takes a moment to check. If it can happen to me, it can happen to you.....
