Hey guys,
I have a source that can get me DBA Brake Rotors (slotted), Calipers and Brake pads at the price National Parts Australia buys them for.
I was just wondering if DBA Brakes are good? Has anyone had any experiance with them?
Also, The part numbers for the 3 parts.
Cheers
Tim

change mine to DBA slot a while ago, more responsive but still depends on the tyre grip really ... can break little faster on high speed but if tyre grip the road would help

The DBA disc part numbers for GPX is: 425
and for the GR/GS it is : 411B
The GPX and GR/GS are available in standard slotted and Standard Gold (cross- - drilled & slotted), only the GPX is available in the 4000 Series Performance Rotors.
just wondering. what prices u can get them at cos I'm currently in the market for the same items. hehe...

They've gotta be better than the Camskill drilled ones I've got. Warped after 8000kms

LoL!
Well the price will be standard no matter how many people are interested. So same price for 5 and still same for 50..
So the DBA disc no# is: 425
What about the brake pads?
and are the front brakes the same as the rear brakes?
Also this is not a confirmed group buy, but as im getting it for myself i'll get it for others also.
1 Last thing, unless theres enough interest for GS/GR this is will be only for GPX.
Will find the price when i get the proper (confirmed) part numbers.
Cheers

BTW:
Just checked the DBA site.
Which ones are better?
These
http://www.dba.com.au/dba_catalogue_200 ... _index.htm
or
http://www.dba.com.au/dba_catalogue_200 ... _index.htm
Do DBA sell brake pads, i cant'd find them on the site..

nah, I don't think they sell brake pads.
Also the 5000 series is not available for the FTO so the only choices are, 400 series, standard slotted and Standard Gold (cross- - drilled & slotted).

If so, consider me interested!

I've been quoted $120 for just standard slotted, not the 4000 series. so I guess $105 is pretty cheap.
can anyone out there with DBA rotors compare with what theu paid???
Any ideas as to how much they weigh? I think postage of these to sydney will be very expensive

$105 is a great price - who gave you that price? I need some pretty badly.
They weight about 8kg a pop from memory.
Im currently running the EBC green pads & am happy with them, although they did make short work of my current drilled discs. Part no: DP2954 - type is common to Evo 2 / 3, Galant, Shogun & Sigma

! Cost me about $180 for the front set.

I read somewhere that EBC green stuff was designed to be used with EBC slotted rotors and that they are less effective on all other brands, that's probably why you rotors packed it in at 8000K.
Anyways TimmyD, I'm in for these if you don't mind organising something? I don't think shipping will be more than $30

Yup, cause the compound is quite abrasive & creates plenty of heat. Camskill rotors were supposed to be able to cope - not so... they are a house & garden mild steel. The spec's on these DBA's look the goods.

Hey Ben!
why don't you upgrade your brakes to the GPX ones? I've seen it done before and it will increase your stopping force.
