Ok this is probably a really stupid question...

But here goes, I got mail today from Blue visions management, and it says it's a PAYG Payment Summary.
It doesn't have any contact phone numbers, and I can't find any on yellowpages.
It is asking for payment summary for year ending 30 june 2006, and the Payers name is Earth Corporation Axis developement trust.

What the hell is this? I am thinking something tax related??? I never had one before though

A PAYG statement is also known as a group certificate (I think). It should be from your employer and state how much money you earned in the last financial year, how much of that money was payed to the government as income tax, and how much, if any bonuses were payed to you by your employer. You are meant to send it away with your tax return.

The fact that you haven't heard of the company might mean it is something dodgy perhaps?

Supplanter is right. The summary should also contanin the ABN of the company. Go to the ASIC website http://www.asic.gov.au and do a search by the ABN and you will see if the company is a registered company or not. If you cant find them on there, ring the tax office and let them know cos something fishy could be going on..

hmmm,

I did a search on the ABN and it said it's not ACN based or something.

I don't work or anything and the only thing close to a job I had is test some mobile phones for 3 days (got fired on the 3rd day :)

I will call the tax department, which one do I call?? Phone number?

Sorry guys for my ignorance but I never had a job to need to do anything like this
