Earth Wire & Voltage Stabilizer

Is anyone using it at the moment? Can you notice a difference? Basically i want to reduce the electricty usage so just wondering what's the best way to go.

May make a minor difference but generally the effect is negligible unless you have poor grounding in your electrical system already.
For the price of a kit you're better off buying some large gauge cable and upgrading the factory earthing points on your car - eg battery negative terminal, alternator grounding, etc.

getting zapped it more to do with the fact that your building up static when driving.

Seriously though do we have a DIY on how to fit an earthing kit on this site? Can't seem to find one using the search. From what you told me Kev it's only about $50 bucks isn't it?
I really did love that high pitch sound from my head unit when I accelerate.........hehehe

How is your head unit earthed...? I remember in another thread I had an arguement about this...anyway to be safe I would earth the unit directy to the body..if you take out the centre console there is a great spot on a bracket to use...if the noise is still there (which I have never had when been earth correctly in all my cars and I've installed a number of them) you can get an inline filter/supressor for these noises (although I have never used one).. however this is a little of topic

Ummmmmm.........yeah

Everything you just said just went over my head. Electronics wasn't my strong point in physics. What is an earth wire used for?

the earth/ground wire is for safety. it is used to ground metal parts of any electrical device so thay can't become "live" (dangrous to touch) if the power wire decides to come loose.
as for the whirring sound, normally it's caused by the power line running too close to the speaker wire/rca. when the power runs through the power line it creates a small electromagnetic field which can disturb the information in the other wires close to/around it. hence the whining type of sound when you press the accelerator. whenever i setup my cars i make sure that the power line runs through one side and the speaker wiring/rca cables run through the other side.

You really wanna know whats causing your interference read this...however its quite complex...I have studied electro mag. and Quantum Physis so i understand...however it basically starts the main sources of noise from your car...

So let's look at it from a practical point of view..........
What do we need to do physically to make the sound go away? Where do we plug what wire, where to, and what type of wire/s?

anywhere it will earth basically, i screwed mine into the last screw on the stereo bracket as i forgot to earth it when i had it out.... came to put the thing back in and "hello.... i have a loose wire.... ill just put this here then"
works fine
but i need to ground my headlights better now i have 8 (10 if u count the park bulbs) headlights now, low beam, high beam, factory driving lights, and added driving lights (to help me see round corners(135w!))
so yeah, blown a few fuses, and i know im not getting the most from all the lights, anyone would think i have them in series not parallel!
what was the topic? oh yeah, grounding is important.
