Okay so now i have leathertte seats and i love em their nice, i really like looking at em. In my living room, honestly i could not be fucked installing these myself.

plus i wanna em to look good when their in the car.

SO

Should i have em proffessionally done, will this cost heaps, how long will a prof auto trimmer take to do this job

OR

Should i stop being sooo lazy and just DIY

JUST DONT KNOW

all i do know is i dont want them to look shiot house when in the car

And thoughts, suggetsions would be greatly appreciated

thanks

BTW if its just a matter of paying an auto trimmer 200 bucks for a days work, or their abouts then i would probably prfer to have em done professionally.

cheers

Do em yourself.....I helped fit a set to a mates car here in the UK and it was a breeze....start with the drivers seat, then the passenger seat and finally the back seats. They are really easy to do but one piece of advice I will give is make sure there are at least 2 of you doing it as there are times you need one person to hold them and another to do the clips....took us about 7 hours to fit a full set and that was in the freezing cold.

Good advice, that was exactly what i would do. I have mates that are pumped to do it with me, which is cool, but i want a good job. So yeah itrs a toss up

If you look at some of the pics our members have got on this forum of the leatherette seat covers hopefully they will motivate you to do it yourself. Just remember the whole point of the group buy was to save money on the seat covers and they're not that hard to install..........just a little time consuming if you've never done it before.

Yeah...$200 is definately a bargain...i dont think i'd put myself through that again for less than a thousand...lol
Turns out when I finally got around to doing the passenger seat, it was sewn wrong!, the part with the hole was too small. I had to pack it out with some material and then i couldnt get it looking as tight as the others
Anyway here's a bad quality pic.

If done right, you couldn't pick if they were done by a pro or not. Did mine myself. They are a great product

Well, apart from making sure the seat is locked in the upright position before undoing the bolts that hold the top section in *SNAP!! F*CK!!* lol
Its getting the friggen zip on the back of the seats to to thread!

Its a really methodical process. Once you've done one seat you will understand. Start on the back, cause if you f*ck it up, its the hardest to notice :P

All I can say to get the good finish - Is make sure the inner cable ties are as tight as possible (ones that hold the metal bars that you push into the covers to the metal in the foam)
