Is my car cursed?

22.12.05:
Parked my car on the street outside the block of units were I live, as I usually do... neighbour knocks on the door at about 11:30pm, waking me up  It seems one of my next door neighbours parked in front of my car up the hill a bit and forgot to put the handbrake on 8O The car rolls back, smashes my headlight and fractures my bumper... the owner is uninsured of course

20.02.06:
I go to my car (which I now park in the driveway after the previous incedent  ) all ready to go to work and notice glass all over the driveway next to my car... someone has smashed the driver's side window  after searching the car I realise that my MP3 player has been stolen

22.02.06
Upon returning to work during my lunchbreak from the ATM (I needed to get some money to pay the window repair bloke who was fixing the window smashed 2 days earlier) I was reversed into by someone backing out of a carpark at work 8O My bumper was scratched a lot, but luckily his towbar remained intact  He was insured though :P

24.02.06
My mind was elsewhere that day (for obvious reasons  ) I backed out of the carpark at work, but instead of turning the wheel to the right, I turned it all the way to the left, and reversed into the pole I was parked next to  The front quarter panel was pushed in and it in turn was bending the plastic splash guard into the wheel 8O I straighten the panel as much as I can, then when I get home I take the wheel off, remove some of the screws in the guard and it doesn't rub on the wheel anymore.

25.02.06
While driving my mate home from work we both hear a wierd sound coming from the the front. At first I think it is just the plastic guard rubbing against the wheel again but then it dawns on me... I only hand tightened the wheel after I took it of the previous day 8O and I had driven to work with it like that too :?

06.03.06
I hear a strange noise again today, this time coming from the right rear. I pull over as soon as I can and see the flat tyre  I'm a bloke, I can fix this  I jack up the car, undo the nuts and give the wheel a yank... nothing happens :? I give it a couple of kicks, still nothing. Then I get the spare wheel and use it as a battering ram and try and bash the wheel off... that wheel ain't going nowhere  I call the RACV and 15-30 minutes later RACV guy arrives. He gives the wheel a few kicks and it falls off (I loosened it up for him  ) He replaces the wheel and off I go to work. I drop the wheel off at the tyre place during morning break and pick it up in the afternoon. It turns out the valve caps I was using break easily and that let the air out of the tyre  The valve caps have a clear window in them and a red doohicky pops up when the tyre pressure drops too low... yep, they worked a treat

So in conclusion (assuming you read this far)...

Is my car cursed?
Should I sell it and get a Commondore?
Is it me who is cursed?

i can sympathise with u about the work poles - as i have hit one of those pillars at your work 2! they are so damn long, that when reversing you forget you need to go back a few metres before turning... ok i wasnt concentrating lol, but i have seen a number of people do it there.

That is bad luck indeed....

But at least it's still drivable, and only cosmetic.

Plus, most of it caused by others, so not your expense (except perhaps for the uninsured idiot who feels handbrakes are optional, and also doesn't leave the car in gear).

The way I see it is that most of your problems were not the cars fault, so you car isnt cursed, its you.
I suggest you buy a Falcadore and put the FTO in the garage till your luck changes, or you get the curse lifted...
Ask Mrx about curses... onto your third engine now ?

Well let's see if we can get a realistic plan of action from the past events.......

Step 1) Move out and live somewhere else so you don't have dumb neighbours and thieves

Step 2) Quit your job and work somewhere else so you don't have to worry about those poles anymore

Step 3) Don't ever take the car anywhere ever again

Just a suggestion........

Seriously though sorry to hear of your misfortunes........

And I was paranoid about my FTO being hurt by others before 8O .......

After all these horror stories, maybe I should leave mine in the garage and not drive it...
