Cleaning the air filter

Can someone here guide me on how to clean the air filter.

i have the hks air filter. it used to be green n now its all black. how do i clean it.

disconnect the airfilter hose it from the inside so u push the dirt out of the filter and not deeper inside it. let it dry naturally (dont blow dry) then put airfilter oil over it. then pop it back in and s'all good

You can buy air filter cleaner kits from any auto accessory place. Just spray the filter inside and out with the cleaning spray, let it sit for a bit then hose the filter from the inside out. When its dry spray it with the oil and put it back on :wink:

thanks peeps. that helps. one more question. i was checkin this website on fto's and this guy has installed something like vsam from racelogic and claims that it provides about 9-10 bhp gain. if so where can i buy it from in australia and how much does the thing cost?????

Its just another type of piggy back unit that allows Air / Fuel maps & ignition timing to be changed. Any piggy back will do the same. Gains will only be as good as the other mods that you have :wink:
