Mannnnn i got my vielside kit just a week back, today i gave my car to this service station to change all the engine oil, powersteering oil and radiator coolant and some other minor services. i came back from work just to find out that they have totally damaged the front bumper i mean totally. the left hand side is ready to fall and the right hand side of the bumper is making a cracking noise. i cannot stop crying now.
they say that they are going to take it to a panel beater and get it repaired.
but i dont think any panel beater can make it as good as new again. this sucks.
so what i wanna ask is "am i in a position legally to ask him to replace my whole front bumper"
crying again.

Definately they are liable for the damage.. First off they have offered to repair it so go that line first. If it comes back unsatisfactory dont accept the repair and threaten legals.... You may not have to go that far but call their bluff and see. Following that seek advice from Cosnumer Affairs.

You don't have to go to the repairer they choose. If you're worried about them not doing a good job, I'd recommend going to someone else.
Contact Consumer Affairs asap as your first step. They will advise you of your choices.
Most likely though, it'd be a fibreglass front bar? Don't stress over it too much. A decent repairer who knows kits will be able to make it as good as new.

thanks for the help.
but i was just wondering - can a panel beater make it as good as new? because i just bought it a week back, it did not even have any scratch on it.

Since its a veilside copy, it might be cheaper to get it replace then repair, as fibre glass isn't that easy to repair.
Like kid said, you have the right to get it to a repaired of your choice, but contact consumer affair for advice first.
