What sort of power gain do you get from extractors?? Also anyone have a price for them and an aussie dealer they can recommend with good ones?

Its the search button on the top between "Forum FAQ" & "Usergroups" & not on the left side of the screen.

I've just realise the search result didn't came through with the link i've posted above, so just type in "extractor" in the Search Query & you should see 22 matching topics.

really depend son your other mods...if u get the better flex pipe..that alone can give u like 3-4kw atw...extractors..not so much more...but u need a CAT back system (hi-flow etc) otherwise there is no point..

I'm not sure if this is covered in any threads but something that Kev said has struck a chord in my head.
When you get extractors, hi-flow cat, bigger exhaust and muffler..........do you need to make any changes to the ECU manually? or does it do it all automatically?

Stock ECU will compensate for much of it, but to get most you need something tune-able

hey joel...yeah the ecu will adjust to a certain extent with the better flow...however I think with the extractors its gonna lean out a bit to much...u really need a piggy back system to fix that and tune it a bit more. You can also adjust the timing with the piggy back...and get some nice gains.

Lean out too much huh?
Maybe if I use fuel mixed with ethanol then it would allow me to use a leaner mixture???
True/False???

Your scaring me Joel
Get the fuel mixed by the ECU, not yourself!

Apparently ethanol when mixed with ULP gives it a higher octane level so you can actually have a leaner mixture. That's why our new Optimax Extreme needs time for the ECU to adjust to the new mixtures.
I'm not sure about mixing stuff, but I am pretty good at stirring.

interesting comments by craig @ revzone.... said looking at the stock FTO extractors and some aftermarket ones he has seen - both have a point where a lot of turbulence is created... I need to point it out on a pic to show u all... said it would be a lot more beneficial to have the pipes sweeping down in the same direction then almost joining in a backwards direction
umm just sent a pic of RPW ones to him, said these look fine.
