Hey does anyone know if this paint will work for my pyreness black 95 GR i'd love to touch up my scratches with this for 8 bucks as opposed to going for a respray. The paint i bought and am contemplating to use is Midnight Black colour code PJ 0080.
heres a link to check out. i read the catalog and it claims to match the black on the FTO

If it's just light scratching have you tried using cutting compound on them? Touch up paint will work... but, it's debateable whether or not it will look better then just having scratches. You'll want to mask off the entire area with precision that you don't want sprayed, then give the scratches a bit of a rub down wet and dry sand paper, primer it, sand paper, then touch up paint (I think sprays a bad idea...) coats and then clear coat.

black is a pretty easy colour to touch up so u should be ok. go for any glossy black - gloss black/satin black/whatever. mask up all around the scratch besides the bare metal, then give it a very light spray, leave it a few minutes, give it another light spray, etc until you cant see the metal. dont bother with primer or sanding if the scratch is fairly smooth and small.

this should hide any scratches though if you look right up close it will be a slightly different shade as your paint will have oxidised or whatever from the sun over the years.

thanks for the response, im concerned with some spots where by the surrounding paint appears to be flaking off the mark of the scratch, if i were to paint it over, i guess there might be a few flaky shapes/protusions sticking out.
