turbo timer doesn't do sh*t but leave your engine running to let your turbo cool down....I have an HKS one for sale on the SAU website atm...

I think she is after a boost controller. Just get those manual bleed valve, does the same thing, cost you $30.

Why HKS? hmmm.....don't see the point of just follow a particular brand. I use what ever is the most cost effective and reliable, whether is a big Jap/Euro/U.S brand or just a local job.

ok girl
if u own an evo
and other evo owner know u got a turbo timer
they'll flame the daylights out of u!!!
it does jack crap and u hardly get it hard on the turbo anyway
30sec is more than enough to cool down the turbo at idel
or a slow drive around the block
as for BOV
it will make the evo slower by atmo becoz evo has MAF sensor
u should have a evo8MR PB BOV and then run a HKS RS reloaded intake with CF HKS kansai intake box
it will also make a BOV noise and INCREASE performance
dont go atmo, u'll regret it

I have an HKS Type0 - silver. $130 for u delivered.

as for the manual bleed valve, works good up to a point...get a decent on on SAU for $22. thats how much a paid for mine and holds boost ok at 16psi. If u go an electronic version looking at $600+ HKS would be expensive.

BOV...lol

bov are cop magnets
just get a nice pod filter it will be fine...
and for evo...if u want hardcore upgrade
just do it all in one go
and since ulike HKS
by the WHOLE turbo upgrade package for around 7k
and u'll be a monster on track
ferraris will NEVER catch up to u
anyways...if u do get a bov make sure u get a flashtune or change your ecu because it will fuk up the air meter and u will run extremly rich!!!

soo do you lose power in a evo if u have a BOV?
I have have a apexi power fc but dat particular ecu still uses the air flow meter..

afaik it depends on the type of bov u get, and one of the above responses

another thing to get if you wanna go hardcore is a launch controller / anti-lag system... then you can leave your foot planted when you are clutching & changing gears to keep the turbo spooling while the revs are limited to ~3500rpm or what you set it at so it doesnt over rev.... bit more of a cop magnet than the bov though lol, with big flames /popping out the back!

Oh god not antilag.. someone's been watching too much Initial D

1. Flatshifting will kill your gearbox
2. Anti-lag will kill your turbo in no time, amongst other components
3. You will not get flames in a standard EVO with the addition of a LC/ antilag unit.[/b]

haven't seen a single initial d episode :)

-u need a special cogged gearbox / dogbox for flatshifting, but thats nothing to do with having antilag
-not sure if it'll kill your turbo since they use this all the time in rally competitions
-yeah you need a straight thru exhaust system, and possibly a de-cat system aswell. :P

-but they're still cool :x

if your bov blows off to atmosphere
it means the amount of air measured by the sensor is not correct so the amount of fuel the ecu used to burn is wrong
so u will use more fuel
and atmosphere BoV will cause idle issues if u have MAF sensor
and turbo spools slower and less responsive unless u run high boost
and with evo...u Do get misfire on the track
dont get anti-lag...your turbo will die so fast u didnt even know u have a turbo

think about it...atmo bov = rice with no performance
pod intake = performance and sound crazy and have bov effect because factory BOV PB into intake so u still hear the noise.
