hi
until now for past 3 month i been collecting money to get my car vr4 upgrade...without knowing what really is involved...
ok so first i know there is 6a12tt and 6a13tt...which can be done on fto?
now until now i had my thoughts on 6a12 one... but when i mentioned this on nz mitsi forum ppl think the engine is other way around hence the gearbox cannot be fitted or something like that... is this true?
and then i here 6a13tt is bit bigger engine and its not going be easy job either...looking at the project ppl did on 6a13 already look confusing enough.....
so is 6a12tt not one for the job? and is 6a13tt going to be really hard job?

as far as i was aware, the 6a12 tt was in the legnum, and was reverse orientation, yeah. 6a13tt fits...but in all honesty that much power through the front wheels, even with an lsd, in a FWD is asking for it. when you consider the cost of the conversion ... hmm.

If you want a 6a12TT to fit, just get a FTO 6A12 and stick the 6A13TT turbos on, but then there is no point because you got the 6A13TT, might as well put it in.

also if you're sick of it, take the lead and write up a FAQ or formal document about the topic in question.
That way, it's all in one location, and not in a search of a forum DB which might get pruned.

There is Eric, they're at the "Projects Corner"
It doesn't matter what we do, people will always post up the same questions over and over again. People either are either not searching the right words or just want a quick answer without wanting to reading a long post. But little did they aware those little quick questions or quick answers usually end up another long post. Just like everything else in the world, history repeat itself.
There is a good side of it though, that is, very rarely someone will add a totally different concept or point of view, which can be benifit for everyone in the forum and generate new topic all together, but chances like thats is 1 in a 100.
I'm sure you know there isn't a "perfect" solution, since you were a mod at other forum. So I guess we just have to keep posting the word of "search" and "read", while people will keep asking the same topic.

Yeah I know, but the project corner is more documentation of individual cars. There isn't a document really to consolidate that information in one place.
Yeah, I know what it's like, but the project corner isn't really presenting information in a concise format, it's more like a running journal. That's what people doing searches generally want. All the information in one page rather than fishing around for it in a search =)
This is what I though the debunked Technical Group was going to achieve *shrugs*

Well id rather a topic be brought up a thousand times (so like fto338 said other ideas/info may arise) than ppl being intimidated or scared to ask a question. So untill we find a fool proof way let the questions fly

Projects Corner is a work in progress (The section as a whole Im talking about) and as such Im such Im always open to suggestions as to how to improve it.... It was never used much before, so it could be a projects in progress / knowledge article section if you think thats the way to go. Similar to the 'Grease Monkey' section the UK site, completed articles could be locked, so there isnt 40 pages of dribble to trawl thru to get the information you need....
