i'm in a position to grab a climate control unit from an FTO
what do i need to get? The display unit...but what wires/sensors/actuators?
do i need to pull the whole air con box out from under the dash?
Do fto ones fit in CE lancers, or are they different from evo items?

regardless, i'll probably hang on to it, to put in the gpvr when i find one.

Its the same one used in late model Magna Veradas (94-00)

The unit itself just unclips from the whole wiring loom plug (its like a sterio sized box.) It comes out pretty esay, just gotta pull the gear stick surround out, then 2 phillips screws to pull that whole centre section out.

Dunno about wires & sensors thou... you might be looking at disecting the whole loom there. The GPvR one as you probably know is all manually controlled. Heaps of cables running to various vents, be a bit of a nightmare to go from auto to manual version.... especially if its just for weight savings. Just toss the rear seat!
