Hey guys,

I know this is has been covered... I have had an issue with my central locking in that sometime pressing my alarm the door wont lock etc.. I know this is a common problem...

However, now I cannot unlock or lock the passenger door with the key AT ALL

and yesterday the drivers door no longer locks or unlocks with either the key or from the inside... therefore my car cannot be locked... if i try to move it it just doesnt budge...

whats the best bet here? automotive locksmith? will it just be replacing the central locking? or would an alarm place be better where they replace my locks and probably my sh*t alarm at the same time?

I had the same issue with the not-working-from-remote button scenario & it was the central locking servo that had packed up. I just replaced it with an aftermarket central lock kit from Jaycar. Mitsi want over $300 for a replacement unit, Jaycar kit was $50 & it was for both doors if I needed it.

However, not being able unlock with key is a bit of a worry... I'd probably be heading to a locksmith.

do u think just one of those 24/7 automotive locksmiths would be best bit? or cheaper to leave it with someone?

Good question.... maybe if you called one of those 24/7 guys out, but you pull the door trim to peices before he gets there, you might save a few bucks in labour??

Then again... he may have to go away & get parts.
