Hell yes it's worth $50. But does require a bit of metal grinding to widen the hole on the bracket. It works without enlarging the hole but the shaft hits on it and is a bit harder/notchier to get in to gear. Will post up pics soon.

Why not buy a spacer over using the washers.
Hell, even a metal works could grind you off a piece. or go cheap and buy a nut larger than the bolt to which you thread through.
