Look what came in my mail today!
They turn on when you open the door don't they?
So it's just a matter of wiring them into the door closed switch with a relay?

Re: Look what came in my mail today!
That wiring bundle at the bottom of the photo should plug straight into the factory loom.
I'll have an FTO one day... i swear!

Does it have an existing plug somewhere above the fuse box?

Re: Look what came in my mail today!
Question: Mine didn't come with the wiring loom included in this set here, how do I wire up the red and black threads of wire that come out of mine?

Re: Look what came in my mail today!
Do you have the inverter? The little box shown in the picture above? If not you need to buy an EL inverter. Only a couple of dollars on eBay.
Make sure it comes with a splitter so you can plug both of them in.
Then you just wire it in to the wires going up the A-Pillar to your map lights.

Thanks mate, nah I don't have an inverter! I'd take it that simply soldering the wires together with the map lights doesn't exactly work? lolVectose wrote:Do you have the inverter? The little box shown in the picture above? If not you need to buy an EL inverter. Only a couple of dollars on eBay.

Re: Look what came in my mail today!
Nope, you need the inverter, because the EL panels run on AC.

All in and working.
FYI getting that plug out of the socket to put the new one in is really difficult if you have big hands.
