Torque Converter Bolts
Am I right in assuming I have to use a torque wrench on the torque converter bolts? I know they need loctite, but not sure about how tight. And if I do need to torque them, Any idea how tight?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance

Re: Torque Converter Bolts
Think they're close to 100nm if I remember correctly.
You need to hold the engine from turning, what I did was have someone hold the crank bolt with a breaker bar while I tightened the flywheel bolts.

Re: Torque Converter Bolts
Workshop Manual says 45 - 52 Nm
I stopped the engine from spinning with a long breaker bar on the crank bolt going to the ground, because I didn't have anyone to help

Re: Torque Converter Bolts
It's 45-52nm for the bolts that attach the torque converter to the plate. The bolts that attach the plate to the engine are 98nm.

You really should just steer clear of commenting on the topic of bolts, especially these sorts of bolts, Destinationshearitofftoby.destinationtoby wrote:Bet ya wish missus had that settingBennoz wrote:On all of those bolts, I just set the rattle gun to 'f*cken tight'
