Will 235/45 tyres on a 17" wheel fit with stock shocks or will they hit the top of the strut?

offset, offset, offset.

And width.

And are they stock-stock or the KYB replacements (they are shorter).

Not sure about KYBs, red springs though (Pedders?). Last time I tried to fit 225/50s and they did not fit...

17x7 offset 46

Can't remember if they hit the shock coz they were too wide or too tall...

Yeah, 225/50 is much too tall. You miiiight get away with a 235/45, but it'd be close with the stock shock and definitely wouldn't clear a KYB I don't think. A 215/45 or maybe 225 would probably be better. Closer to speedo too, for what it's worth.

A 235 will also look quite bulged on a 7" rim.

Hmm found another 225/50 set, how big a spacer you reckon id need to run to fit them?

Don't think you'll be able to run any (decently sized) spacer to clear the shock.

running a 235/45/17 on a 10.5J +15. however i have to really role the sh*t out of my guards to fit it.
Running coilovers though, maybe be difficult with stock suspension.

Don't worry guys, I figured it out. He was trying to see if some Magna ralliart rims would fit.

Here is what happened when I tried to do a full-clock with 235/40ZR18.

Looks like someone didn't lump hammer out the wheel arch seam.

Yup, lump hammer and/or cut and weld the seam.

Had to do that on mine and it fixed all my issues.

Funny thing I had same size tyres since 2008 but this only happened when new tyres were put in 2012. Then the guy from tyre shop charged me another $150 for a new tyre and used sledgehammer to flatten the arch seam 8-O

Might've been variations in brands perhaps.

Yeah, but that's a pretty deep gouge. Brand variation wouldn't be that much.

Oh well, extra tread.

Make sure you make the seam look legit after though. As its for crash purposes and might cause you not to get a payout on insurance
