mivec kickin' early

Post by JSP-INC »

got this unusual situation where mivec kicks in at about 4400rpm.... i thought it was induction so i revved it slowly in neutral and yup it hits mived at 4400rpm and keep revving upwards of 7000rpm with no cam change... so i think its hitting mivec at low revs...
any ideas?
its damn loud when it hits @ 4400rpm 'cos i generally shift around there......

The only explanation that i can think of is that u've got a mivec contoller hidden somewhere, has been known to happen!!

And yeah if its hitting mivec around 4000rpm it is damn loud, problem is u'll b loosing power with it that low
